How To Stay Spiritual In These Wild Times

Hey everyone! I know everything appears to be completely out of control in our outer world right now. I know people are having anxiety and depression. I know we are sad and angry. I know we are triggered and demanding justice. But how do we stay spiritual in the wild times?

Even when the outer world is in turmoil….you can be thriving inwardly! I know we are getting sucked into all the videos and articles about the “files”. But REMEMBER to stay GROUNDED! Consuming so much disturbing, disheartening, and vile information will suck your energy. When I say ‘suck’ I mean it exactly that way….your energy is being depleted. If you are having serious emotional discomfort of any kind (from complete sadness….to out of control anger), you need to step away and clear your energy. Take a walk. Burn some rosemary or frankincense. Do some yoga. Something to pull you into the present moment.

I have been reading and watching videos about the “files” too. I have been completely devastated. I give myself space to have that sadness and that anger. Then I move on. Sitting in those emotions doesn’t help the situation OR the victims. I like to be helpful. What can I do to be helpful?? I find my own ways to show my solidarity to the victims and to protest the perpetrators. I don’t support businesses that fund those people. I donate to charities that are helping the victims. I correct people when they are incorrect on facts. And most importantly I WILL VOTE. It is not pointless to vote!! We need to take voting more seriously in the USA. People have become complacent on this issue and look where it has lead us.

I stay spiritual during these wild times by staying present. I meditate every day. I focus on my own mental health. I take walks when I can. The best phrase I have seen lately is “observe DON’T absorb”. That couldn’t be more true right now! For me, I understand that I need to maintain my own energy if I want to be of use to anyone else. I set intentions OFTEN. Sometimes once a day! Just a small intention can really help! Such as: when you wake up for the day say “I am going to have a great day” or “Great things are happening to me today” or one of my Teachers favorites “Show me how good today can get!”.

I am someone who has been a victim of abuse. I never wanted people to focus on what happened to me….but rather to have them focus on how we can help other people NOT have go through what I did. It is wonderful to have empathy to all the victims. But to me actions speak louder than words. Take small (or big) actions to help. Just remember to keep your own energy in mind!

Lastly, use your spiritual practice to help you! Whether that is Witchcraft, Christianity, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. Pray or meditate! Talk to your Goddesses or Gods! Cast a spell! Talk to your deities! Ask your angels or guides for guidance. That is why we have spirituality! The energies that we communicate with are listening to us!
